Best bang for my buck...
Best bang for my buck...
I've got an 06' LT Coupe and it's lowered on SSC springs. I'm getting lots of squeeky noises from the front so I assume it's the Sway Bar Links...
What's the best buy that I'm gunna notice on my suspension? Everyone says sway bars, but does anyone have a specific that would be beneficial?
I'm looking at buying the Powergrid Sway links since I am sure mine are what's squeeking.
Any Ideas would be great, I would like to order stuff tonight so it's here by the end of the week
.
Thanks!
My other question is, would it be a problem if I buy the koni struts for the front and leave the rears the way they are?
Or would that be a problem?

Bunch a' Moochers! lol.
I want to upgrade the front sway bar to compliment the links, then add the rear sway bar.
My dad works in a steel fabrication warehouse and is making me a subframe brace.
... I just wanted to know about the struts and if my assumtion seems right about the squeek.

It's either the sway bar links or the control arm bushings.
The control arm bushings on the 05/06 suck *****.
GM has actually came out with a replacement bushing.
I'll post the model number when I actually get mine in.
I'm replacing both my sway bar links/bushings and my control arm bushings with the new model ones.
Sway bar links, I was originally going to buy Bwoody links, but I think I'm going to get the Powergrid ones instead.

I know that Koni's wont lower the car... i'm already lowered on SSC springs. I just wanted to make sure since the Koni's can be set to soft or stiff that If I only replace the front (Where all the weight is at) would it cause problems for the rear shocks.
Would only doing the front struts be effective at all though? Would I notice a big difference? The trunk and back of my car is basically empty and never causes problem, but the front likes to punch my kidneys.

I just want to make sure it would benefit. I understand that both front and back would be great, but I don't plan on auto-x this season, but this car is my daily driver and I would like better ride quality until I get the rears as well.
Does that make sense?
