Best strut and spring combo?
Best strut and spring combo?
What's up guys. I have a LNF with stock struts and eibach sport line springs.. It seems to be super floaty.. Could be the struts are worn in or what not.. Looking for a good strut to stiffen it up and make it handle like a dream! What are you guys running?
use ss/tc springs. those springs aren't as stiff as the ss/tc springs, and these cars handle best near stock ride height. ss/tc springs or pedders with ss/tc struts, or go all out coilovers.
Well for handling coilovers are a no go ^
Best strut spring combo is probably Koni with YYZ- word on the street anyway. I doubt that the Koni struts are much better than the TC struts unless they are really are worn out though.

why no coilovers? if the damping rate, spring rate, and ride height are adjustable, you should be able to get them to handle exactly like the stock setup if not better, right? what am I missing here? Haven't really looked into coilovers for cobalts, are adjustable ones not available?
First of all pedders are a big no. The only coilover you should consider for handling are the KW V2 which are ~1800. I would highly recommend YYZ springs with Koni's and a Powell XXX rear swaybar. I have that exact setup and couldn't be happier.
BTW for cobalts there aren't any really amazing coilovers, these springs are the best out there although I haven't seen them compared to the KW V2, the best set of coilovers for the cobalt in terms of handling.
