I referred you to it figuring that you could use it to help your own parts guy assemble your parts list for you.

I'm going to bet that getting it though CED will still probably be cheaper... His prices are pretty hard to beat even with other discounts.

^^^ this. And the special fasteners and spacers you need are not "factory parts" and if you just stick the parts on without these parts, bad things will happen...eventually

it was nice having a tech show the parts guys how to do there job and i found it cheaper through the autozone, cardone reman 4 piston calipers 74.99 with 50.00 core and rotors 36.00 thinking about going this way and powder coating the calipers and then upgrading to slotted rotors over the summer

well nice that you did that, but YOUR due diligence is not done yet. I wonder if Cardone have stock, and btw I have tried the 36 dollar rotors they were less than expected.

The fact remains you need hardware and spacers to make it work otherwise your pads will wear out one one side before the other ( calipers off center) and they will fall off ( bolts not long enough) or too long ( score the rotors) the brake lines will stretch and pop off the crimped end at the banjo, and your LSJ wheels will hit the calipers as well. I think I about covered why the kit is a good deal from CED

Should since the LE5 has the same as the LSJ (which just a little fyi and reading materialhttps://www.cobaltss.net/forums/susp...m4-jl9-137064/ has the information about different brake codes, which are different than engine codes)

Would be pretty sweet, but having to mess with the balance wouldn't be worth it

Pretty sure they don't, at least without spacers they won't

Factory Ion Redline wheels clear Brembos. Malibu and SS 2.4 normally aspirated 17's dont. It generally takes a 5 mm spacer to fix that.
