Camber adjustment.

For those who know...

I know we can ovalize the top hole where the strut bolts to the knuckle. Well, I went to do this last night, and I thought there was a mark that we could ovalize it to, to keep it SCCA legal. Am I drunk? I didn't see it. Anyone have any pictures of it by chance?

I kinda wanted to do this before I went and got it aligned, but that happens tomorrow...

Thanks in advance!
Matt

I STILL haven't done this. But, That is to keep you stock class legal and your well beyond stock class so don't worry about it.

He's right, this is only a concern if you're staying in stock class. You can do what you want in STX, DSP, or SMF. Heck, use camber bolts -- forget drilling out the hole.

Are you sure about that? In John's article on here, I swear he said the top... Makes sense to be the top too, because you want the top of the tire to tip in.

And, I didn't get it done. Maybe next year I will do this. I just told them to dial in as much negative camber as possible, so we'll see how far the stock suspension can go.

Damn. Guess it woulda helped if i looked at the right hole :/

Frick.

Whatever, prolly won't be competitive in Auto X this year anyway, so not like it matters.

Also, why would I be beyond stock class? Just because I am tuned?

Bottom makes more sense, its simple. Open the bottom hole and you just pull the bottom of the tire out. Accomplishes the same purpose, and you are not limited by the top of the knuckle coming into contact with the strut body.

And i'm 100% sure it's the bottom.

Yeah, I got to thinking about it and realized I am a complete moron. Thanks for clarifying Will. I have been studying biology for the past like 2 hours now.

you wouldnt be in a stock class because you have springs, intercooler, modded airbox, tune, short throw shifter, and you will probablly get a few suspension mods from what you have been telling me. stock is a pretty restrictive class.

The modified intercooler moves you all the way up to SMF - it's not allowed in Stock or DSP.
