Coilover Adjustment question!

So I installed my coilovers two weeks ago. I left the front completely as I received it, no adjustments what so ever and the height/ride is fine.

The rear I have questions about. Never dealt with the separate spring setup and I adjusted the rear perch (shown in pictures below) all the way down. By adjusting that rear perch setup does the spring preload change on this type of setup? I am wondering if I should of adjusted the shock body into the mount instead of adjusting the spring perch...

Any suggestions would be nice.

the shock and spring need to be changed together. ie if the heigth of the shock is set all the way down then the spring also needs to be set all the way down. hope this helps

Adjusting ride height in the back doesnt really affect spring preload much. The reason is because the spring is only under tension because of the vehicles weight on it. It does technically change, but not in the same way way as if you used the upper adjusting nut on the front. that help?
