Ok, ever since i had my cobalt it has taken atleast twice the effort to turn the wheel when making right turns. I suspected that it was the powersteering motor but after the dealer replaced it due to the recall it didnt help. The service guy mentioned it might be the rack and pinion since it was in an accident and hit on the driver side.

So..my question is what is the difference in the rack in pinion between the FE1 (soft ride) vs FE3 / FE5 (sport suspension) cause for some reason the FE3 / FE5 rack and pinion is $ 100 cheaper than the FE1 and if its better and will fit ill buy it. According to the sticky in the Suspension section it seems like it might work.

none. they are all the same. its the knuckle steering arm is different. Buy the cheapest one from CED good luck with your ride
