eibach pro kit springs

ok ive been on the eibach official site and reading around.. they list the ss 2.4l as only having sportlines available and they list the ss sc as only having the pro kit available and says as a extra note that the ss sc will recieve minimal lowering due to lower factory ride heights.. now i think the drop on the ss sc is perfect except for the rear and the pro kit drops it .5 inches in the rear.. so my question is if i get the pro kit for my 2.4 ss will it drop me to the height of a supercharged cobalt minus the .5 in the rear? if so i dont see where the struts will be affected at all since its stock height of a superchaged cobalt and the suspension is basically the same between the two ss models.. or am i completely wrong?

I was curious about this also. I don't think the drops from springs will be the same for the 2.4 as they are for the SC. Maybe somewhere in between the rated drops of the LT and the SC??? Correct me if I'm wrong...

but I'd like the know for sure before I go buy springs after the winter...

well thats what i mean.. if the sport lines drop a supercharged lower than it is already stock.. which were only suppose to be 1.3 of a drop on a 2.4(much higher than a stock supercharged) then a set of pro kits that only suppose to drop a rear of a supercharged
0.5" should put the 2.4 at the height of a stock supercharged.. but i dunno.. money trees dont grow around my house so im gonna have to go with tried and trusted methods i guess..

GOT BOOST? what were your springs rated to drop and what did it drop? were they specially listed for the ss sc'd? thanks

The struts are the same part number, so I would say that any of the springs would work.

It sounds like you have it exactly correct. The Final ride height of the 2.4L SS with Pro-kit's on them will be just like you said, an SS/SC with the rears .5 inch lower.

Another advantage is the Pro-kit has a progressive rate spring, so while the ride height is the same, the spring will be a little stiffer.

The sportlines and prokit for one cobalt will fit on all cobalts, meaning the pro kit will work on every model cobalt, as well as the sportlines. We have these in stock

SS/SC guys who want to do springs would get no visible change from a Pro-kit, so that is probably their motivation. You are right, the Pro-kit is probably a better performance ride, while the Sportline is a looks spring.

I went with the Pro-kit, and the ride is amazing. I'm not too big on dropping it that far. I just went for performance.

About 2500 miles, and the ride is still beautiful.

I recently got my Pro-Kit in. Its great!! At first all you notice is that the ride is smoother than normal, but after you hit a couple of high speed sweepers with bumps in the road you begin to apreaciate the engineering in these springs. They keep the car planted and stuck on the road, even with my snow tires!! I would suggest these for anyone who is serioulsy into back road bombing and loves to see how fast he or she can take the off ramps. Though they don't give any noticable drop, the quality of the ride and abillity to take whatever road suface is thrown their way is reason enough for me to choose these as the only spring for my car.
P.S. Stock SS/SC springs for sale - PM me
