Eibach Prokit on SS 2.4??
I'm considering lowering my SS. I don't want it to be totally slammed so I can scrape off of every driveway or entrance I come to, but I would like it levelled out and dropped an inch or so.
I see from Eibach's website that the Pro Kit won't lower the "Cobalt SS" b/c of the factory setup. I assume this means the SS/SC suspension.
Has anyone tried the Pro-kit on a SS 2.4? Results?
I'm only looking to lower an inch to an inch and a half at most.
Also, if y'all have any pics I'd really appreciate it.

Not sure on the spring rates but im sure if you called eibach they'd tell you, not sure where to find the stock s/c spring rate. But look for past pics from DomesticDemonSS ( i think thats it) but he has pics of stock S/C height, pro-kit, and sportline.
Edit: Here's his posts with pics. Look through those, very little different height from S/C vs pro-kit https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/sear...earchid=366969

Thanks for the replies so far. Too bad this just leaves me with more questions than answers.
So, let me state what I know... for further reference.
1: SS/SC and SS 2.4 have different suspension setups. So the Pro-kit shouldn't have the same effect on both cars.
2: Pro-kit has a 0" front and 0.5" rear drop for the SS/SC and a 1.6" front / 1.8" rear for the LS/LT.
I'm hoping for something in the middle. 0.5" front and 1" rear would be cool.

Doesn't look to good for you, if no one here can give you the correct answer you might have to call Eibach. Has anyone just put lowering springs in the rear only, if you're only looking to do 0.5" in the front why not just leave it stock?

Gimme some time to research this a bit, and I'll get back to you if I find anything out.
[edit]I can't find ANY info on the SS/NA anywhere on the net (about suspension). Looks like someone is going to have to contact Eibach directly about this. Or, perhaps a chevy dealer would be able to tell us if they do sit at different heights.

SS looks great with sportlines, I put sprint springs which lowered my car alot more than it said(1.6F 1.9R) and I have a lip kit and I havent scraped or hit anything yet.

I looked at Eibach's spring application guide on their website, and here's what a Pro Kit does for the HHR:
1.0" Front
1.6" Rear
ADD - Couldn't find anything in their application guide for an Ion Redline, just the base Ion.

Around here we've got 3 inch deep potholes... high curbs... steep entrances into parking lots... and speed bumps everywhere. I've scraped several times already and I'm still stock. I don't want to have the car slammed and have to worry about weaving to dodge holes or crawling into parking lots.
Thus is why I'm looking for a very slight drop. Something to lessen the wheel gap... but not compromise the drivability of my car.
Thanks...

Good thinking, not in all cases but in many cases a lowered car can hurt the drivability of the car....as I said before, a lowered car isn't for everyone.
