we're not talking about the ss/tc lowering springs they'll lower your base model balt about 1.5-1.25 i believe not much. you want the STRUTS/SHOCKS from the SS/TC the SS model cobalts are already lowered from factory so there already made for a lowered car. Buying the SS/TC SHOCKS/STRUTS will save you quite a bit.

yes, although make sure its the ss/TC strut not the ss/SC strut, the sc strut is still better, but not as good as the tc strut

and it will lower you a little, but is meant to be coupled with a lowering spring to get the actual height difference

I have Progress springs and the ride quality is better than stock unless you hit a really big bump. The rear springs are a bit short though. The back end sits low unless you do something like this:
I made 3/4" shims to lift the back of the car. They are made out of a PVC material called AZEC. I have about 150lbs. of stereo gear in the trunk, but I don't think that should make the back squat as much as it did without the shims.

Before:

After adding 3/4" shims:

i ahve the progress as well and i love the way they ride. definitely a little stiffer than stock but the handling is great. i did not have the problem with an uneven stance, my sits perfect, same gap over both wheels.
