Emergency Brake

I've searched high and low for the solution to this problem. I've been lurking here for a long time and have always found topics for what I'm doing. Hence my low post count. Either way, a few weeks ago I pulled up on my E brake and the cable snapped. I was unsure where until I took apart the center console. The little cone at the end of the cable (the piece that sits in the bracket) ripped right off. How in the world do I go about replacing this? A new e brake cable? I know a lot, but when it comes to e brakes, well lets just say I'm not that great. I don't even know how they work on this car without having drums in the rear...

Any input would be awesome. Thanks guys.

EDIT: Also, pics can be uploaded if needed.

Mine did this about a month back ...you will need to purchase the cable from the dealership they were $20 a piece ....they are very easy to replace ....just jack the rear side that snapped off, take the tire off and remove the cable out of the caliper and PFF the car and replace. Once you've jacked it up and pulled the tire off just follow the line. It literally took me 10 minutes to replace both sides. Oh and don't let the dealership tell you anything different all you need is that cable

this just happened to me while i was working today. one cable snapped completely while the other is just completely useless. im not brake savvy so i called the local pep boy store to get a estimate on the repair and i was told only the dealer can install this part. is this true? well obviously no since thejoey12 did his at home...

Noo man do it yourself like I said get under it and follow the line...the only hard part is getting it onto the handle and the actual caliper

Pull the center console apart and see if everything is connected. Also can you post a pic of the insides when you pull it apart
