End links didnt fix clunk :(
End links didnt fix clunk :(
Hey guys, just replaced my sway bar endlinks yesterday with MOOG endlinks and the clunk noise that occurs going slow over small bumps has not subsided at all. Any other ideas?
nope have about 55,xxx mi on the car havent replaces struts or springs...i actually have front lower front control arm bushings i ordered as well, but havent put them in because i was told i need to bring the control arms to a shop to get the old ones pressed out and the new ones pressed in. Are the ones i ordered (front lower front) the CAB ones you guys are talking about...they are a bushing with a metal ring on each side. Thanks for the help guys.
Thanks guys, if anyone would mind, could someone give me the part number to the correct control arm bushings i need from rockauto.com ... also maybe the part number for the sway bar bushings i may as well do them too (only becuase i want to make sure i dont order the wrong stuff this time)
Also about the steering rack...that may be it too because it does make the clunk noise going over bumps at slow speeds....it also makes a clunk noise that i can feel in my pedal when i am not moving and turn the steering wheel back and forth.....and finally, when i hit small pot holes (forget about bigger ones) it sounds like my tires are about to fall off my car its terrible. Im not sure if it started then, but i did get the power steering recall a little while back.
thanks for any help i really appreciate it!

My cars ride is garbage. I think its simply a cobalt thing. Been garbage ride quality since 34000 miles and now im at 65000 and its terrible. I ordered new control arm bushings recently from moog, i forget the part number. Got em from amazon all i remember. And i havent installed em either but i think u gotta take off the control arm and yeah press old out and new in.
I wanna know what else goes bad just i can replace it with better ****, then dynamat my whole interior, make my car ride like a maphakin caddilac like what

CAB's for sure....
Check out the CAB's MOOG provides for our cars:

I just bought a set, and will be installing them soon. They will be a pretty decent improvement over the stockers for sure (solid vs voided).
