Ground Control Still Available?

Does Ground Control still make the coilovers for cobalts? I would like to pick some up but they are not on there site anymore or on ebay? I emailed them about it but I have yet to get a response in about 5 days. If anyone has any info on it I would greatly appreciate it.

the coilover kits by ground control are just sleeves that go on your stock struts you're supposed to cut off your stock perches and weld those on. it's not really your best option imo unless you weld the hollow shocks and put koni inserts in them. at that point, 400 bucks for coil sleeves and 320 for koni's for another 200 or so you can get megan's and those are sick. i've explored every option for suspension on this car. unless you wanna be cutting and welding, just get the real deal or your choice of drop springs.

How low does it take for it to start screwing with the axles? Also I thought the sleeve went over the front strut, you shouldnt have to weld anything. I could get stock lnf struts and these and I think id be set.

agh but that defeats the purpose of the sleeeeve cuz it's got adjustable perches to change the pre load...youre basically just adapting the strut for springs that probably wont fit the factory top hats and make all sorts of fun noises, and you can get drop springs that will perform way better. the stock struts can only handle like 2.5 inch drop til they start getting bouncy.

Handling isnt a top priority but I dont want it to handle worse than my stock suspension. I also want to be lower than what the pedders offer.

HSD make coil overs with Bilstein patent style monotube gas shocks, available in north america through a distributor. I bet OTTP can get them for you. Good quality and so far good response from those who have tried them. I prefer Pedders and TC struts, but if youwant low you can get it with HSD in stance and dollars....lol

did I say HSD make Stance brand coil overs?

Please explain how they are garbage? They are probably the best entry level coilover brand out there.

you guys beat me to to it. to to mention some others that have had rubbing issues. go ahead spend 500-800 on megan racing coilovers or k sports. they will never match up to the high line coilovers. they are cheap for a reason. thats the problem with a lot of people today. they want coilovers for dropping the car and not what they are intended for.

just for the hell of it...... i have a cobalt in the shop right now with just k sport springs on it.......hellllllllllllloooooo coil bind.
