handling and lowering

Ok. So after reading through the stickys and different forums I think i 've come up with the best suspension for me. I do have a few questions though. Now, what I plan on doing is getting the 24mm front sway bar and since I have a progress rear sway bar (22mm) I should be fine. I'm considering the dc sport strut bar but im not sure yet. Then i will be going with the FE5 control arms, Competitive Driving Steering Knuckle, a full set of Koni struts and a set of eibach Pro-kit.

Now my questions are if i get the 24mm ss/sc front sway bar will i need the 24mm sway bar insulator or will the 22mm one work for it? Also is there a difference in the FE5 front spring seat and the FE3 or FE1? Also is the progress rear sway bars fine with FE1 rears? or should i get the FE5 rear sway bars awell? Also with this setup is the DC sport strut bar even worth it?

Let me here you rinput guys. thanks.

It might work, it might not. The inner diameter is off by 2 mm which I would think would be fine but the mounts are different. The FE1 and FE3 bar has one bolt in the front and the rear slides into the cradle. The FE5 has bolts front and rear so the shell and outer part of the bushing may de just different enough.

Nope, none at all.

There is no rear swaybar, the rear trailing arm has a stiffining bar welded into it. I have the Progressive 22mm add on bar and I have found that its not quite stiff enough to balance the car with an FE5 front bar. Progressive a new 25mm solid bar may want to try that.

I personally dont see how the strut bar can help because our strut towers are bacically next to the firewall. I have been told however that it does make a difference.

Wow you just pretty much answered eveything for me. One thing though, how come on CED.com they say that there is a 22-mm rear stabilizer bar on the FE5?

The stiffening bar thats welded in place is different the FE1 comes with a 20mm bar welded in, the FE5 comes with 22mm. The only way to switch them would be replaceing the whole trailing arm, or if you know a good welder

I have a specific problem with the Koni's. They aren't struts, they are strut inserts. Inserts requires you to disassemble the strut in question and then cut it apart to install the insert. People have used them and have really like them. I dont like it because you have to destroy a perfectly good part. The rears are shocks and should bolt on fine. I wish Koni made full struts too because the FE5 stuff is really good for highway speeds but once you start cracking 80 mph they just can't control the body movement. Below that they are plenty stiff and handle great. As for the rear swaybar like I said with my combination the 22mm rear just isnt stiff enough for my taste when comboed with the 24mm front bar. I'd recommend the new 25mm bar they are selling now. There is a thread on here with the info just search for it.
