Hardcore car noob here, suspension question.
Hey guys, I have an 05 completely base cobalt, (no abs), and I've noticed just about every bump I hit I get a clunking sound in the front and a good bounce.
Now from my SUPER limited understanding of cars this is due to wearing shocks and/or struts.
I'm at 173kms and I believe these are still the stock ones, I'm not totally sure.
Now, assuming I have to replace these things, my question for you guys is what are some good parts that I can get that aren't OE to improve my ride and handling?
The roads where I'm from are pretty shitty and I do a lot of city and highway driving so I'm just looking to soften the blow from these landmine ass roads and get some smoother handling.
Thanks in advance to anyone who replies, hopefully I can learn something from the combined knowledge of this place!
>Also sorry if this is the wrong place to post this!

Hmm.. from a quick google a set of Koni shock/struts all the way around is 700$ just for the parts! And 200$ for used SS ones.
I may just save up for the Konis, after I check them out a bit more. Usually more money spent on things is better money spent.
As for the other things, I guess I'll have em checked out!
Thanks guys!!

I had a clunking noise in my front end last month and it was my brake caliber because a bolt fell out. and then the other one started wondering out. it scared the **** out of me when I was driving down the road and the other bolt started to wander.
