It is a GENERIC photo.... LOL... Sometimes we get them from HAWK in a blue box, sometimes a yellow box...
You are buying pads becuase of a box? The part number is the same, and that is what matters
Yes the OTT ones are the HPS ones, notice the title of their product. They are softer.

I was asking because the color of the boxes from hawks is the different pads the have, yellow is the track one that blue is the street one red is high temp . so.....
we never stated "And if you buy front and rear from us i will give you free shipping" look at our above post.... and it was never edited...
If you get rotors and pads we can get you free shipping though....
Just wondering why you added that to our quote when we never stated that...

why are you so sensitive? anyways thanks for all the answers. im waiting on another vendor to get back to me on some prices so if they dont ill just use my account and order from you guys.
Alright, well we try to help members with their questions, as you can see we did. Other vendors maybe a couple bucks cheaper, but they dont offer "forum discussion" like we always do and help out. That should count for something, helping you understand your product selections....
But to each their own you can buy them from who you would like.
Keep in mind though, if 1 month down the road your new pads have "issues" and you didnt get new rotors, you wont have warranty on the pads... That is coming from the manufactures, as they will make you prove to them, that you got new rotors, at the same time as the pads, with a reciept...

HPS pads are grippier and have more overall stopping power. Ceramics are a more normal pad for people who don't want absolute optimum brake power, as they have less NVH and last longer, along with less dust, but for more agressive driving, the HPS is the better pad.
Confilcting info there...

BOTH links are for the same pad...... They are both for the Perfomance Ceramic(luxury/touring pad) While TTR is correct that on occasion they do come boxed wrong, for the most part blue box is the HPS(HB524F.740), yellow box is the Performance ceramic(HB524Z.740), and black box is the HP Plus autocross pad.(HB524N.740)
All Hawk HPS pads will have an "F" in the part number.

OTTP rocks super friendly customer service and very active on all forums related to LSJ/LNF and the rest

Your good.
short speech: the filler in pads is generally either ferrous or ceramic. If ceramic, probably wont tear up the rotors as much. If ferrous, will probably tear up the rotors. 10 years ago, Hawk pads i tried were junque. These days Hawk are quite fine. Excellent even...
For racing i use the Pagid ceramic RS 14, or 19/29. These are not cheap pads custom made for the LSJ caliper. For street use on my large PFC rotors, I use stock GM pads. You know GM do a lot of things very well and i think for cheap brakes the stock LSJ is very good, the LNF is even better.
Cant wait to put those badboy LNF Brembos on my car....
I have heard great things about the Cobalt (no relation) brake pad , never tried them.
At the end of the day its not just about the product, its the service I am glad Darkmanx found a good deal with Josh
he is a really decent guy, great service/prices, and he manages to offend ....no one. Thats hard to do on a forum....like this

I have Carbotech Bobcats on right now, they are good pad, but a little expensive in my mind, and I am not super impressed with them for the price. I dont like the pedal feel, I just feel like the pad itself is more compliant than stock. This may be self inflicted failure though, I probably should have gotten Carbotechs AX6 compound. I really wanted to be impressed with these guys because they offer brake shoes too. I might just bite the bullet and order some AX6 shoes(or I may decide not to throw good money after bad, only time will tell
