Yes. A coil over system will fix this

Coilovers are a complete strut (and shock) replacement. However, if you ever plan on running your car in the snow, don't do it. The salt will eat right through them. Also it's gonna kill your ride quality if that matters at all to you. Personally I'd recommend you pick up a set of fe5 shocks and struts from crate engine depot.

Thumbs down

What an awful day i go to get new tires and they tell me my struts are leaking.

The Tires look bad too there is like 3/4 of an inch overlape from my rims. so it looks like i have smaller deep dish rims because the tire sticks out. i will get a pix up in a min

Coilovers + winter are a no-go? Interesting. I was actually thinking about getting some, that way, in the winter I could just raise her up a bit and not worry about it. Sounds like I would be in for a rough surprise.

That's what I was told by Mr. Powell (at least I think that's who it was). PM whyyoumadson? and ask him about it. He's been on coilovers for a while now.

That's just kinda how they are. It's to protect the wheel from being damaged by curbs/potholes. My dunlops do the same thing. What's your tire pressure at? More tire pressure might help a bit.

Different brands sit different ways. The pirellis tend to sit flush with the wheels, as do nittos and kuhmos, while goodyears, dunlops, bridgestone, and a few others have "rim guards" like this on them.

If you're on stock springs, just get a set of TC struts and shocks. Cheap and easy. If you're on lowered springs, I say get Koni. You can get them for under $500 shipped.

Didn't read every post, but swapping to CO's just because of a leaking strut... is an expensive fix. Replacement struts are maybe $50 at most. CO's can get into the thousands.

I had the GT's on my old GTP and yes they all have the rim guard. Personally I like having it. Haven't needed it yet and hope not to.
