Ideas and Help with a problem

A problem seems to have just started with my 05 SS/SC. I feeling it has something to do with my struts or springs but that is a guess from someone who knows very little about cars.

When driving at highway speeds and for example going over an overpass where those bumps from the road to the overpass are...My car will skip out sideways a little almost like the wheels are not in contact with the ground for a split second.

And when in a turn and going over bumps the car will skip out sideways even more and when braking heavy in a slight turn the back end will almost feel like it is tail happy like drifting a little

So whats the deal any ideas

THANKS in advance

Sounds a lot like youve got failed shocks, or shocks and struts.

Low profile tires, light ass end....yep, they do want to step out a bit in the bumps. As you noted, the tires are actually unloading a bit and loosing grip.

And loosing rear grip when braking while turning.....there is a reason racers get their braking done before the corner. Braking transfers weight to the front and unloads the rear.....meet trail brake oversteer

Better shocks / struts can help quite a bit. Given your car is an 05, if the shocks have never been replaced now might be the time for an upgrade. Konis anyone
