JBP Coilovers

I know what your first thought is, and I know they're pricey, but I've been driving with them for about a week, and the only thing I can say is INCREDIBLE. I'm no pro driver, but I'm taking corners like I never thought was possible, and the ride quality did not degrade.

that was actually my main purpose of getting them, performance with little to no lose in comfort. it handles like a dream.

just though I'd stick my two cents about a product. I really did get what I payed for. I'll post pic's of the drop when I get a chance

later

Eddie

Sorry just edited it, I was talkin to someone when I posted. my bad.

it's definitely worth the money.

as far as the drop goes, right now the rear wheel is just below the fender, and it can go another 66mm from there.

Still tweaking the front

The price is pretty steep. Do they have remote resoviors? Whats the adjustability?

Ride Height?
Compression Dampening?
Rebound Dampening?
Preload?
Spring rate more or less than stock?

Te JBody site says its also say it's progressive? I don't know much about car suspension but for true performance strait rate springs are the best for handling on motorcycles.

If your the test car player_1 you better start posting up some pictures and comments other than some subjective paragraph about how great it feels.

Pretty much the same questions. How easy are they to adjust too?

Thumbs up

With these coilovers the only adjustability you have is the ride hight, which is easy enough to change just take the pressure off the tire and turn the nut up or down to the hieght you like, ( for major changes have you alignment checked ).

and the progressive dampening is what gives you the smooth drive, close to stock feel ( slightly stiffer), when your just doing regular city driving.
but if you hammer it and start taking corners you quickly notice how stiff the suspension is, very little body roll, ( I even got the car to drift a little, granted i'm still on my winters).
on hard breaking the car bearly dives at all, same goes for acceleration.

They beauty about these Bilstein inserts is that you have all the performance you'll ever need from a set of Stiff springs and shocks, with that initial give that you want for comfort when doing regular driving. this eliminates the need to adjust the dampening on your suspension.

you could get springs and a set of KYB adjustables, but I don't think you'd be able to simulate what these coilovers are doing, they'll either be stiffer all around or softer.

All in all I think I got the Best of both worlds with these comfort and performance, I definitely got my moneys worth.

I hope I answered your questions

Oh and as for pictures, you'll just have to wait until I swap my tires back to the summers, some time next week

Someone should ask about a group buy price or something, cause as much as I'm dying for coilovers I wouldn't really be able to justify the almost $3000 price tag all said and done.

Especially when H&R is soon to be releasing a kit for around $1500

Agreed. When the only adjustability is ride height, I'm not willing to pay $2200 JUST for the coilovers before shipping and installation. That's insanity.

The Bilsteins make the Dampening Progressive. heres exactly what they're using:

P-Type Mono-Tube, Multi-Dampening/Auto-Adjusting Bilstein Insert for the front and a Bilstein B055 for the rear

Did Mev say anything about a price that he may be able to offer?

I know I'd be in but not sure how many other guys would, we'd be lucky to get 5 I think

I am probably in. What is the price of it though? That is the only kicker. Since H&R is soon to be released for $1,500 they better match or beat that price. Send me a PM or post on here. preferably a PM.
