Knocking on Passenger side

Hello all... I just lowered my LS using Eibach sportlines and the ride seems great but i have one issue.. On the passenger side when i hit a bump i get a knocking sound.. I checked the bolts and everything is tight... i know when i put the strut back in it was lined up correctly..

Any ideas on where the knock may be coming from? Maybe the bearing is off on that side? I really wanna fix this becuz im waiting til i fix this to get my alignment. Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

what kind of a knock is it?

i'll give ya a little story. i dropped the **** out of my civic, as shown below:

I ended up getting a similar thing, except it wasn't what you'd expect. It wasn't really a knock, but it had to do with #1 how i had my springs sitting in the upper shoe and the bottom support, and #2 had to do with the fact I didn't have my rubber pad in the upper shoe sitting properly.

btw.......oregon has potholes ranging to 3 inches deep, and mad hills and awesome driving roads.....and that car didn't rub. :-P clearance was literally 1.50 centimeters between top of front tires and fender. :-P I just loved how it'd tuck the front tires just enough to not rub if i was going super hard into a sharp turn.

I have the same problem but mine is the rear passenger side... I've yet to get it checked out at the dealership but from what I've read on the forums it's a blown strut.

That sounds like its most likely the problem.. when i was installing the springs(and even before) i could tell i would need struts soon....

Where did you get your KYB's from and what did they run you.. I tried to order the Monroe shocks but everyone said they couldnt get them yet.

I will probably just get the FE5 like i planned so i dont have to wait.

Im like 99.9% sure i installed everying correctly.. so hopefully the new struts will take care of the issue

i get a knocking on the passenger side as well. but it happens when im not even moving sometimes. like when i first start the car. and then once i was out of the car and this time it came from the back drivers side instead of the rear passenger, the muffler. idk what it is tho and it prolly doesnt help u at all. lol

NOOOOOOOOOOOoooooo!!! i guess no official KYB support for the cobalt. damn that is depressing.

On my civic, the AGX's cost, if I remember correctly was about 750-800 bucks.

My car has knocks, creaks, squeaks and vibrations all over. My exhaust drone overpowers all the little annoying noises typically though, so I don't really even notice them anymore. Just one of the many perks of daily driving the **** out of a lowered, modded SS on 19"s. I feel every bump, and every bump just makes one more bolt a tad bit looser, lol.

LOL WHITESSBALT... my system was the quick fix for the noise.. the only reason i heard it was because i went driving after the install with the radio off to listen for any noise and heard the knock.. once the radio is on... ITS GONE... and i feel you im trying to get rid of any issues BEFORE the 19's go on lol

The ride is nice.. actually nicer that stock..bumps are just more abrupt... but none of that bouncin all over.. i was getting Seasick on those LS springs lol

i would double check the way the spring is seated again. rear struts are cheap, can pick up a new one off the ss for about 40 bux
