Once upon a time... we were given a how-to section. Then the gods blessed us with a how-to for koni front inserts.

It would be much easier to get sstc equipment, I have them and like them as do most.

TC > cheap coilovers, but if you're running springs and a bar, Koni > TC.

The how to posted above is very good, although I would add that you may want to use a big pipe cutter instead of trying to saw the strut apart. A pipe cutter will leave you with a nice clean cut. Don't crush. Just spin it a bunch. Alternatively, you could use a sawzall with a fine tooth blade, or a good old hack saw. Whatever you do, you want to cut straight, not like the how-to where he hacked it up, and has to do a bunch of cleanup afterwards with a file. This means a Dremel probably isn't a great choice.

To install the front konis, you have to destroy your stock struts

Wangspeed has it right! I bought a cheap pipe cutter from Home Depot (less than $10), I wrapped blue painter's tape around the strut first - which gave me a 'no-slip' surface, and it took about 5 minutes to have everything done without any hassle. Don't use anything other than a pipe cutter!!!
