Indeed. If they had made the AGX they'd be worth it.

i have some, and they are no longer the GR-2's. they are now excel-G's. The excel-g's are replacing the gr-2's because the gr-2 is too soft. The excel-G is much firmer. I have an LS and they are an improvement. If you have an SS i dont know if there would be much of an improvement, if any.

KYBs arent junk, KYB actually makes the SS/TC struts.

see my above post. I'll maybe post a review of how they are after i get some more miles on them. I have an LS and they are definitely stiffer than the stock struts. Probably because they are supposed to work for all Cobalts.

The Gr-2's are a "stock" replacement, and not meant for any drop.

you are right, they only state that they are for O.E replacement, but if youre changing your struts on a lower model like i did, theyre an improvement. they wont warranty your struts if they blow and youve lowered your car, but i've lowered a few cars on these and never had a proble. Also, they are no longer GR-2's, they're excel-G's now which are stiffer.

If your gonna go KYB, just wait for the AGX's. i'd put them on par with Koni Yellows any day, especially for much less of a cost.
