I love the sectioned fullsize front end, thats awesome, and steel bumper too.....kudos.
That rocker arm, horizontal rear bag setup is bitchin too.
Is your friend doing this for fun or does he run a shop?

Ditto. Coilovers WERE on the list at one point earlier this year. But on the bright side, i'm starting my 2nd job soon (56 hours a week FTW!), so after I buy a cheap daily driver, I might go back to modding the Cobalt. Either that or trading it in.

no idea, hes taking his time to make sure it comes out PERFECT in his eyes. I cant blame him with that amount of work. Hes had a couple setbacks, having to rent a shop because he outgrew the tent garage, job changes, financing, and the guy who was going to build the motor built it then left it outside with no valve covers i believe it was and it rained on it for over a month. Hes getting there tho. I would imagine within the next year it should be driveable. It will be covered in at least 3 magazines as he was saying hes friends with a couple different publishers, and has the backing of acrophobia behind him. his dualie hauler which trailers that truck to meets is also bagged as well and layes rocker. :-)

Theres sooooooo many cars like this (stance wise) in my area. At the College Park Tuning show, there was countless VW's, Hondas and VIP style cars rocking stretched tires, epic negative camber and SLAMMED stances. Impractical? Yes. But who cares, it looks dooooppppe!!!!

yea they look dope dropped, but i HATE it when you have too much neg camber. i like a lil...
maybe a little more then in that pic, and thats all i can handle.
and the streached tire looks good, untill your behind the car and can see that little lip of the rim... IMO that looks ugly, from behind

Yeah, its not for everyone. But I def dig it. I'm contemplating selling my SS if I can't get a daily driver soon. The Cobalt is at 60k now, and if I can't park it soon, then I don't feel like wasting any more money on it. But if I do sell it.......well, i'm not gonna give away any details.....but lets just say....."Project Watermelon". Trust me.....the most unexpected car out there.....
and "project watermelon"? im scared. haha. i have no idea what it could be.
a red minivan?

Haha worrrrrd.
Well I pulled it from a TSX forum, but this was the only pic, so i'm not 100% sure.
And if you've never seen something like this, then you sir have been sheltered from the sport compact tuning scene. Epic tire stretching and hella slammed stances have been a big thing down here in VA for quite some time now.
