Yeah I want the front lip, its just alot for the new bumper and then the lip and to get them painted. The body shop I go to takes soooo long to paint I just dread thinking about it lol. My car rubs as it is sometimes when I drive. I just dont wanna buy the lip and then have it all scraped on the bottom.
I planned on selling my cobalt this spring and getting the new camaro but im starting to think im gonna keep the cobalt. what do you guys think?

Bumpstops dont mean youre bottoming out actually, they are there to increase the spring rate when the suspension is compressed a lot....its actually removing them that ALLOWS you to bottom out the shock/strut more often, and this is why they fail.

Well I guess thats like asking if its okay if the shocks bottoms out a bit right?
I dont know, I am not sure what they safe limit is on cutting them, I just know that the guys that complain about springs blowing struts are the guys whocut them, and the ones that didnt cut them have no issues.
Youre not riding around on the bumpstops with sportlines so you never even feel they are there except for over big stuff and even then running on the bumpstops is still way smoother than bottoming out the suspension. other springs may be lower but you need to really hammer a car to be on the bumpstops a lot. I think qwikredline has uncut stops for thousands of miles, including plenty of road racing.....maybe he'll take a pic of his bumpstops when he's got some time.......If his arent destroyed, youll have no worries.

I never cut mine when I put in my sportlines. They hit a few times in the begining and that was about it. Unfortunately when I put the drag bags in I had to chop them all the way off and now I just don't have any. I do know that when I took off the stock suspension the right rear shock was completely wasted. Not sure about the fronts.
So my sportlines are installed, but my dad cut the rear bumpstops? I guess it said to in the directions. I will have a pic posed later on. Car looks awsome tho, I love it!
I don't have the same shocks/struts as you (I have an LS sedan), but I have Sportlines and to me the ride is very nice (not really much stiffer than stock in my opinion). Maybe that will change if I go to FE5 or Koni setup, but who knows.
They my settle out a bit but as far as the ride getting much softer thats not really gonna happen. IMO sportlines were actually too soft and I wanted a bit stiffer ride. I guess everyone has different preferences though.
Also, to the OP.........i'm lowered.......and I still drive in the snow :P
Well the ride isn't terrible, i was just wondering. I didn't see a difference in the ride too much, but I also just took my car outta the garage from last October, since I don't drive it in the snow. So its kinda hard to remember haha
