Lowering Springs
Lowering Springs
Just a quick question to anyone who lowered their cars. When I put the struts back together there was absolutely no tension on the spring. Is that normal for lowering springs or what? Basically it moves on the strut itself.
On that note, is there any sort of aftermarket strut that would be a bit shorter or something/

I'll see if I can grab a picture sometime over the next day or so, I know the right ones are in the back and the front.
I'm wondering if they are just too short, I didn't have to compress them at all to get them onto the strut after taking off the old ones

If I recall correctly I used the spring compressor to put them back on the struts too, so there must have been some tension. And as far as I know all the aftermarket struts would be the same length (unless coilovers) in order to make it fit properly with the rest of the stock suspension.
Just an FYI: I'm going to be getting rid of some CM springs locally soon if it comes to that.

when i swapped megan springs from B&G, i did it without a compressor, the hats didnt even move!! I had a foot on it against a concrete wall thinking they were going to shoot off but just fell.
