Lowering Your Car...

Sorry but im a bit Noobish when it comes to car modifications that deal wtih anything besides electronics..But i was wanting to lower my 08 Cobalt LS, and i was wondering what size springs i should get and if i was to get it professionally done how much would it cost? Im in the navy so i dont have any tools or anything living in the barracks so thats why i cannot do the job myself...But i do have some friends who could probly help me with it if its not too hard.

Thnks in advance

wrong section bro, go checkout the suspension section and read the FAQ, it should answer most of your questions. Then if you still arent exactly clear, search first to see if its been answered then post .

x2 you just posted in the wrong section... but anyway there are companies that make springs for our car and the drop varies. If you want a small drop just look for the ss/sc springs but if you want a more agressive drop i would go progress, tenzo, eibach sportlines, goldlines, ksport, or even H&R most of those have about a 2" drop...

I did the work on my cobalt (06 ls) and it took about an hour using a lift and some air tools. it wasnt too bad but i mean you can just go ask some local shops what they charge.. if i were you i wouldnt pay anything over 175 for them to do the labor to do it..

next time man just search alright? itll make things better but I hope I could answer your questions

go with the eibach (spelling) tested and tuned to perfection. alot of cars on here running them, shop shouldnt charge you more then 200 to instal them. other wise basic hand tools and a rented spring compressor will do the job for a home job. hope that helps ya
