Mild vibration/noise on braking

Lately, I've been experiencing a mild vibration and rubbing noise during braking when slowing from speeds over about 20 mph (ie. almost all the time). There is also a sensation of mild "surging" as if I'm applying varying pressure to the brake pedal, and the problem is more noticeable after I've been driving for a while.

The car has about 27,000 miles on it, and lots of brake pad left. I'm rather easy on the car, and the problem is somewhat intermittent leading me to believe it may not be warped rotors (which was my first guess and is still potentially the issue).

Any ideas?

Warped Rotor, or maybe possibly lose break cable, or maybe even something with the ABS

I haven't completely ruled out warped rotors; more than anything, I just didn't want to have to fight with my dealer to get 'em replaced under warranty if that is, in fact, the problem.

Thanks for the input guys, keep it coming.
