New GM TSB; Availibility of steering knuckles for competetive driving.
I agree that it would be. THe issue that some will have to consider is classification .. At least in Solo. If this would be a "recall" or if GM called it a "replacement part" and not had the Competition replacement ( or however it's worded ) in there, then it might not be an issue.
To the SCCA, this MIGHT be a competitive upgrade that is above an OEM part, and then that would constitute that it's NOT eligable for use in a stock classed car.
Road racing is a whole different ballgame.

Seeing that it's a replacement for a part that came from the factory, and I'm sure there's no weight savings or other performance benefits, then how could they list that as a class-changing part?
The SCCA issued a FastTrack line specifically dealing with this part for those who didn't see it a couple months ago; straight from teh SEB, this part is NOT eligable for stock class in Solo. IIRC, they can't be used in ST either. DSP, SM, or SMFshouldn't be an issue.
I have autocrossed the unholy hell outta my IRL now and haven't broken a knuckle, but when I change class you can bet your ass they're going in, lol.
