New toys! (pics!)

Check out my new toys!

I got the Turbo tech racing rear sway bar and the DC sports strut bar from a local friend who is parting out his cobalt for a deal I could not refuse!

The sway bar was powder coated red and was kinda scratched up so after 2.5 hours of sanding and an hour of painting..

I also sanded down and painted the DC sports strut bar. It was kinda scratched up also

I'll update with more pics once there installed!

Thanks man! Sanding down that sway bar was a PITA! Especially getting all the rust spots out!

Good job looks great... Another option would have been to send it back to us, we could have media blasted it and re coated it for you (yellow) for a small amount... At any rate it looks like you do nice work!

Yes, the tire is about 2" off the ground! You wouldn't believe how much stiffer this makes the suspension! You don't notice it just driving straight, but going around corners at even a moderate speed, this makes a huge difference!

that was an amazing shot, do you think its too stiff or just about right where it needs to be, also does it stop alot of the squat the car has when taking off, its not supposed to but i wonder if it did anyways

Well I haven't really gotten a chance to open it up on any real good corners yet, but so far It feels great! I 'll let you know.. as for the squating, it does not effect that.. but my stiffer spring help.

*update*
The handling has increased phenomenally! Last night I took a freeway round about (rated at 25 mph) at 55 and the tires were barely even squealing! I normally could only do at about 42 before the tires would let go and i would push through the turn.

I am very happy with my new set up! Now i just need to get a new front bar and shocks/struts.

Any suggestions on the front bar? FE5?

Yeah I was thinking of going with the SS/TC struts & shocks. Just curious to see what other people have done to counter the TTR rear bar.

If you dont have the SS/SC front bar get one....anything more than that trying to "counter" the TTR bar is just gonna get you a car with very little body roll that skips across the road.
