^This is true. I had the CA#1 springs on upside down at first. Sounded awful. Flipped them around. Perfect! Not hard at all to do yourself.

It's not bad, but it's recommended to stay away from large bumps get the car into to those people when you get a chance. Actually came to thought about it, the back springs removal is a piece of cake and much easier than it seems and much easier than front so I'd suggest trying it yourself after doing a little search on the forum on spring removal.

every time i've helped someone do springs, we always do the back first. and every time, they say "o god... i feel like an idiot asking for help with that"

the fronts are a little more complicated and more time consuming, but still simple.

glad you got it fixed.

Nice dude. Glad your car is all good now. It sucks because there is no way to visually tell what end is the "top" of the rear spring until it is compressed...unless you've done many cobalts before...

all of the springs i've done always have writing, or a company logo or something. if they didn't, it would be hard to tell though.

Hmmm. Good call on the logo. Unfortunately mine didn't have anything. This might be the case with a few "smaller" brand names not printing anything. I was hoping to see the rate or brand name or at least something on them...but...yeah...I guess live and learn. But it makes it that much more rewarding when you don't bring it to a shop and fix it yourself. When you've got bloody knuckles from workin' on the balt, its a sign of a weekend well spent
