The official strut brace thread!
I bought the CA strut bar in the begining of the year. After about a month or so of waiting for it, it finally came in a box with a big hole in the top. Then tried to put it on the next night and it didn't fit!!! The brackets were fine but the bar was way too long even adjusted all the way in. So I called CA and Kenny said send it back. Well I didn't feel like paying for shipping since they didn't offer and I threw away the damaged box. So finally about a month or two ago I finally made it fit. I had to hack off like 3/4in. on each side of the bar and hack some of the bolts just to make it fit. So it fits but in my opinion is more of a "dress up" mod cause I don't really feel a difference. Sorry for the long story and i'm not bashing CA just letting everyone know my story about the strut bar.

Car Shows are my thing, except I'm usually looking for horsepower items, not really handling, for the time being I'm working on the straight line aspect, someday I'm get to the AutoX

Or you could build your own...
The paint cost more than the materials to build one.

Just purchased my DC sport bar for 106 shipped, on ebay! Quick shipping, and great product. You can probably find it cheaper on ebay if you look.

I personally like and have the DC Sport Bar. It works great. I know you like the CA bar cuz its cheap but i have heard that adjustable bars tend to come loose while driving and constantly need to be retightened. I would opt for one that is not adjustable but thats just me
Im curious if you folks that have these strut tower braces actually notice a difference? With such a small engine bay and the towers being so close to the firewall, I would be more inclined to install a brace connecting the firewall to the towers then to the radiator support. I cant see a noticeable gain with just the strut towers connected.
Same with the rear of the car. Since preload isnt an important aspect of a front wheel drive car Im willing to bet a sway bar upgrade VS. the brace will do more good.
