Here's my car on track with Pedders. It's a sedan, and I think this is on a straight, so probably a little taller than normal at the front, due to acceleration. On 235/40-18 NT01.

I think I am going to get the pedders and strut package the CED offers. Will I be able to install them in my own garage? Or do I need special equiptment?

spring compressor is the only thing special, rears take a whopping 10 minutes. and compared to the last car i changed springs/struts on (04 Mercury sable that took 4 hours with rust)... this is a BREEEEEEEEZE. Me and a mechanic did it in about an hour, that included 20 minutes of trying to figure why megans are tight not to the bumpstops in the rear, could do it in 30 min, again i think with 2 people air tools and lift. Give a couple hours if your in a home garage.

rears are easy... EXCEPT the amazing huge royal pain in the ass that the bump stop and lower cup are to get in the pedders... it took all of 20 minutes to swap everything once i realized i had to dremel them down...

btw, the wiggle you talk of, i thought that was the tires rolling over in the rear... its always bothered me and makes me think theres a 50 lb weight swinging back and forth.

i didnt on my megans but you will on pedders.

my question is am i going to have to go koni to get a decent ride on a 2.25 drop? im on stock fe1's and i expected the ride to suck but if im not careful ill bounce and break my neck on the ceiling!

Pedders aren't harsh. FE5s definitely aren't harsh. The Konis offer better damping which when dialed in correctly should make for a less bouncy ride with the Pedders than the FE5s. Still very streetable, these are not coilovers

^I said above, before I jacked this thread, im on megans, which are harsh and bouncy on stock fe1 (no kidding) im wondering if fe5 struts will be enough to calm these down or will I have to go koni?

I never said I paid attention...
I'm not familiar with megans but Konis are adjustable and will work with any spring. That's all I can say, not gonna comment on megan/FE5s

Not to jack the thread too much...

Ive always wondered if ride comfort and performance are synonymous at all. To be honest, Im looking for a very smooth ride since its my DD and I dont put in much time at the track. For ride comfort, and not being able to afford coil overs, would pedders still be best?
