Pedders & Rack Spacers

Long story short...put pedders on last summer, had bump steer. Got new tires put on in January, bump steer gone. Put rack spacers in this morning, bump steer back.

Should I just say *uck it and take em out or what the hell? Kinda pisses me off I did all that work grinding down the trans mount and it just made it worse...Wasnt acually that much work but still.

after rack spacers pretty sure you need an alignment.

No grinding involved on mine. Ask John what applies to your specific model, he invented the spacers.

Yes to alignment after putting on the spacers. That's why I put the springs and spacers on at the same time.

I have no bump steer with my spacers and pedders and no grinding was required. are you CABS still good? Are there other parts that went out? First get an alignment.

There shouldn't be any grinding to install rack spacers....

I'd look over everything to make sure it all looks ok. Maybe your steering rack came loose, or CABS could be worn. I wouldn't blame the spacers first since they're designed to fix the problem, especially with aftermarket springs.

I couldnt slip the driver side spacer in, it hit the rear trans mount. I only had to take like a 1/8th inch off, nothing major.

Im hoping everything just needs snugged up. Our roads arent the best up here durin winte so they dont help. But i dont drive the car in winter so im not to worried bout it as of now.

You need rotated mounts to put in the appropriate size spacer. The 5mm spacer isn't thick enough, as I've found out. 8mm is what you want if you're on Pedders.
