Pedders rear springs making clunking noise

Rear pedders making noise. So the pedders in the rear of my car make a god awful noise over bumps, clunking. When I drive up my dirt driveway it sounds like the back of my car is going to fall apart. I have them installed so that the tighter coils are at the top I believe. Will double check tomorrow. I may not have them rotated correctly, could that be causing this? I emailed pedders and they have agreed to send out replacement springs? Think tht will help? Could I have defective springs? Typed on phone sorry if it's brief

Thank you,
Craig

I'd give it a try with the new springs. Install them the same way you installed your previous ones and if you have problems then, try and switching them around..

Are you sure you're not hitting the twisting rear beam against your exhaust? If you have a large aftermarket exhaust, this will happen over bumps. See if you can even fit your finger between your exhaust and the beam while the car is sitting level on the ground.

Yes probably a defect in there springs, Pedders quality control isnt always there

I had a set of Pedders that were doing the same thing, brought them to Powell to get compression tested and one was out 50 pounds
To the other causing the one side to coil bind

Put in the new rear springs they sent me with the same result. They had offered me coilovers for 500 shipped to my door. Thats with sending my springs back. I told them if they can get closer to 300 I'd do it. Otherwise I'm going back to stock and getting a refund. Thanks for all the help guys.
