possible intermediate shaft solution

possible intermediate shaft solution

im not sure if this is the right place to post but i found a possible fix for the annoying steering clunk.

it may fit as it says it is able to be shortened.what do you guys think.i for one am fed up with that noise.

too big, too long, the ends of the shafts are completely different from ours....

I've replaced/removed/lubed a lot of the upper i-shafts on Tahoes, Silverados, Yukons, Suburbans, etc. and I've replaced/removed/lubed several Cobalt i-shafts.

I was hoping GM would eventually release updated intermediate shafts for our cars like they did the Malibus (previous), but I guess we're not that lucky. Malibu i-shafts are even more garbage than ours though.

Your best bet is to lube the shaft with lithium grease and "stroke it" to work the grease in or replace the whole shaft. Sometimes loosening the bolt where it attaches to the steering gear and lifting up on the shaft (with a pry bar) while tightening this bolt helps a bit.

damn,that sucks.i thought this might work.what about Flaming River?they make alot a steering components for mustangs.camaros,etc.......
