progress lowering springs

has anybody ran these on stock struts/shocks? my car has a little over 600 miles on it, so i dont want to replace them. i just wasnt sure if the spring rate on them is too much for the stock set up. i highly doubt it, but never know. im also thinking of popping on the progress rear sway bar. handling is my second big thing, other then power, and ill be looking into the competition knuckles later on. i just need to lower this bastard as it jacked up, and blows in the wind HORRIBLY!!!!!

I was in the same boat as you, and I ve got the Progress springs on my LS. I ve only had them on for about a week now but I love it. The car corners much flatter, and the ride quality is only a little bit worse than stock. I want to add the rear sway bar very soon hopefully, because thsi car still feels very sloppy.

Pics of these please. I've been planning on getting these springs for a couple of weeks now but I can't really find any pics of cars with them. And you will like the rear sway bar it is very nice

yeah ive been wanting a rear sway bar too. the car feels like crap taking corners semi-hard.

but i ordered the springs yesterday. got my dc sports strut bar in today. seems to have made a big difference, and i havent even driven it yet. i just bounced the suspension, and front end wouldnt wobble like before. could be the reason it felt like it slid through corners, but i think it had to do with the electronic steering assist.

Ok, well, I know the pics arent the greatest, some were taken with my treo, and some were taken with my digi cam on my sloped "driveway", but at least you get the idea. Also, for future reference, before the springs, from hub to wheel well on the front was 16" and 16.5" in the back, after the springs, my cars at 14" all around, so it dropped it to a nice even level. I m not sure if they ve settle much yet, I figured at about the 1 month mark I d check them again to make sure everything was kosher.

heres a nice before and after, same shot...

Yeah, Look 10X better. Now get some 18's and tint. It would set it off. Keep up the good work.

i was thinking of running 16" after i get the money. im not a fan of big rims, i just like stuff a little more proportionate to the vehicle. thats the only reason i was thinking 17-18" rims, since the cobalt just seems to fit with those.

Yeah, finding the right wheels isnt the problem, its finding the money for them... when I finally can I ll get 18s. As far as tint, I ve got 20% on the sides, but only in the very last pic, thats the newest one also with the body colored mirror caps.

What is the drop on the Progress Springs?

TTR's website says 2.0" front and 1.8" back.

Is that correct?

It's weird cause the Progress website says that the drop in 1.5 Front and 2.0 Rear. I wonder which one is correct cause 2.0 front and 1.8 rear is on all suppliers websites.
