I was thinking about picking up some Prothane motor mount bushings (they have them on NewEraPerformance for 2.2s, 2.4s and 2.0s) b/c they're only $25, and would make a nifty next mod I believe. But my question is, how hard are these to install? I probally wouldn't do it myself, i'd have a shop do it (www.ptuning.com), but how much labor is involved w/ installing these? How many hours do these take to install. Im thinking buying them and getting them installed w/ my sway bars, which is another thing im gonna get a shop to do b/c I heard the front sway bars are a complete bitch to do. Thanks!
Turbo Tech Racing sells the the poly bushings for the trans they are like 60-70 i dont know if they sell the mount but the bushing fit right in the place of the stock one other companies also sell them i just bought mine from TTR and had them real quick
Also, I don't like Turbo Tech Racing. I originally ordered my sportlines from them, and after waiting over two months, with no replies to my emails, a disconnected phone on their end, and no replies to my posts asking where my stuff was within their vendor thread, I had no choice but to file a credit card claim against them.
Got my money re-credited into my account and ordered the sportlines through tire rack, for a better price, and got them in only 3 days.

you just pop out the old insert and put in this new one...
its not hard to install at all its just a pain getting the old insert out and the new insert in. Vibes aren't bad at all from just the one mount...I recommend them.

I have those inserts but I only have the front insert installed...

I plan on buying the Prothanes through New Age Performance, b/c thats the first place I saw them and they are the cheapest there. Cobalt Performance Parts also has them, but for $5 more, but still a good price.
But first, I need to finish saving for my 19"s so I can have them on before I hit the beach!
P.S.- IonNinja, I love the look of your Ion. LOVE the FNO1R-C's. Very clean, and good color combo w/ the body and the wheels.
thanks, wheels were worth every penny...it shouldn't take you very long. I'd say 1 hr max for each insert. The hardest part is squeezin those old bitches out and then getting the new ones in since they're a tight fit.
If you've got something that can clamp onto the mount to hold it in position while you beat the hell out of the stock insert it really helps. And also if you've got a press or something to push the new insert inside the mount.
Otherwise, a big screwdriver and a rubber mallet are your friend

But right now, im just focused on getting my 19"s and selling my 18"s to my gf for her Tibby. Gotta have the 19"s before I hit Myrtle Beach.
