Qucik question brakes

Qucik question brakes

NEW question:

Im having trouble compressing my rear piston, i got out a C clamp and i twisted as tight as I could and i couldnt get a budge.. just last week i used the C clamp on my front ones and worked find.. any other ideas or tools i could use?

did i really new new pads?? dealer said i was in the RED..

Yes you need new pads. Your inside pad is done, and ur outside pad is nearly there as well. As for degreaser, find one at autozone or something. Not sure of any huge differeneces in degreasers

ok it just looked like to me that there a little bit of life left and i found some simple green here at the house.. going to see if that works

Do NOT try to push in the rear pistons like that, they are threaded in.

You need a "special" tool to TURN them in - if you do not have the "special" tool you can buy one at any auto parts place, or just use a pair of needle nose pliers in the little holes on the face of the piston.

Turn them clockwise and they should go back in if you haven't already buggered them.......

Here is an example of the tool you need, like I said, you should be able to pick these up anywhere you get parts from....

what the heck is that thing..?? and i just took it up to the local shop and they told me its because the parking brakes are in the rear so idk what they did, just i know its fixed.. hopefully

That "thing" is a universal brake piston tool - the pins on different faces are different spacing for use on different pistons. Find the face that fits the piston, stick a ratchet in the opposite side and spin em in

The park brake is why they thread in on the back, pull up the handle and they rotate to apply the park brake. Silly setup but it (sort of) works
