Rear Rotors going bad?

Ok so I was just cleaning my wheels and I also thought I would check and see how my rotors felt. My front rotors were very smooth, and had very slight wear, but my rear rotors were another story... I felt a really noticeable groove on the back side of my rear rotors. I have a 2009 Chevy Cobalt SS/TC and I have exactly 6992 miles on it so I don't think I should be having this issue... What should I do about this?

Rear brakes on the 08/09 SS are a known issue, the calipers hang up on the slides and wear the crap out of the inner pads and inside of the disc......get thee to thy dealer for some warranty work

if u have painted calipers good luck mine r pained and they say that the brakes are always on due to the extra paint not allowing the calipers to move

I would be calling them out on that one. Trying to weasle out of fixing a known manufacturers defect which is the whole point of a warranty.

If that's all that's making them stick, removing the paint from where the calipers and pins meet should fix it. I'm guessing there is more wrong than that........

I checked two other 2009 Cobalt SS/TC rear rotors today and they didn't have nearly as much wear as mine, and one of them has only 1000 less miles then my car if that.

Should I just go to a dealer and see what they're willing to do for me because I have known about the problems people have had with the brakes on these, and I am thinking I might be one of them. lol
