I just ordered the koni sport shocks. I noticed that the where adjustable do i have to mess with them before i put them on or do you think that they will be fine right out of the box for some track but mostly for the crapy chicago roads.

Depends on what springs you have. You should adjust before you put them on. Turn to full soft, and then rotate 1/4 of a turn the other way. That is plenty for stock height springs.

You think Koni shocks could help stiffen the rear for straight line racing?

not as much as drag bags. Koni for street and track at the rear. For the street helps the low frequency pitching at the front, and for the track helps everywhere -ask Wangspeed.
for the drag strip, chain the front down and raise the rear as high as you can

Adjusting Koni Rears

I just shove down on a piece of wood, and turn it to full soft, then adjust it as appropriate. For you, I'd say 1/4 off full soft.
