rear suspension problem

So i bought the lnf strut and yyz package from ced. After the install it seems the rear height didn't go down all that much and seems really bouncy and squeky. If I push down on the rear end the car moves up and down quite a bit. Here are some pics. Any ideas?

Excuse my language, but holy rust!

Guess I see why the northern guys have issues.

As for the car. That doesn't look right as far as ride height. Did you install the shocks the correct way? Does the drivers side look the same?

What springs do you have up front?

The shocks wouldn't affect the ride height.

It's possible the springs aren't installed completely on the isolators. They are a tight fit sometimes. I can't tell in the pictures.

Not sure if it is the case, but most of the time the tight coils on a progressive springs sit at the top. Your pic shows them at the bottom. I would do some research, maybe email Powell, and see if they should be flipped over.

Let us know what you find out. I did a quick google image search and it showed the tight coils facing up towards the trunk pan. As easy as it is to change the rear springs, you may just wanna flip them over and see if that cures your issue.

I talked with powell, he told me to flip the springs and see if that fixes it.

That sucks man, don't even have any further ideas to throw your way. I assume the CED kit was new front struts and rear shocks?

yeah i bought the whole kit from CED springs and strut package. i haven't had time to do anything else with it. my next change will be putting the original rear spring mounts back in and see how it sits. i bought all new mounts when i bought the package. hopefully i'll be able to swap them out this weekend.

Did you do the install yourself? If so, take measurements from the ground to the lip of the rear fender on both sides, and then again once you put the stock components back on.

If you did the job yourself, and you plan on going back to stock, post a step-by-step process and take pictures, even if you're just putting the stock stuff back on. This might help us diagnose the issue over the internet.

Also, your first description seems a little vague. You said that when you push down on the rear end the car moves up and down quite a bit. Are you talking after you remove your hands, it still bounces up and down on it's own? Can you post a vid?

no , i had it installed with a friend who does this for a living. he's installed these springs before with no issues.

it bounces like it has bad struts( which of course are brand new) it doesn't take much effort at all to get car to bounce, i can do it with one hand. the fronts are solid and stiff and won't budge when pushed on. it's taking up to much of my time and the car drives like crap. i'd rather just go back to stock and not deal with the headache.

they don't want them, they tell me there's nothing wrong with them. I'm just going to sell them cheap. it'll probably work fine on another car

Some Tein coil insulators would have helped with the noise.

This is the first time I heard of an issue like this with Powell springs though.
