Rear wheel hop going around bumpy turns and stops???

I have an '07 G5 GT with stock suspension, wheels and tire size. Nothing has been modified to the car.

I've been noticing recently that if I take left hand turn [at an intersection] at normal driving speeds and there happens to be some bumps [not big potholes] in the turn, my rear wheels like to hop or skip. Also, if I come to a normal stop and there are some bumps, the rear will hop/skip. I came to a stop today at a light, and it appeared that my front wheels hopped as well. It caused the abs to send the pulses through the pedal briefly like I was on ice. The hopping isn't violent, but does not feel right either.

Is this a known issue? I do live in NE Ohio, so the car has seen a lot of rough roads. Could the shocks be going bad? I have about 40k on the stock shocks.

You said it. Your shocks are likely blown and need immediate replacing.

I had a rear shock blow and separate on the passenger rear, got those same hops you mention.
