I have an LS and could have upgraded to better contol arms, but i opted for upgrading just the ball joint. I went with moog ball joints. I know the LS has different ball joints then the SS's do.

My ball join had three 1/2inch solid rivets in each one that were a PITA to drill and take out. It took about 2 hours on each one to drill and remove the rivets but once they were were out install took ten mins.

Ya it helps to grind them out if you have a portable grinder.

say has anyone done this on a ss/sc? rockauto.com has ball joints available separatly and for a fraction of the cost of the whole control arm. and I hate replacing stuff if its not bad... all I wanna do is replace the ball joint.
