Replacement bleeder valve for drum brakes

I bleed my brakes a few days ago and didn't have an 8mm wrench for the drums; so I just used a pair of vice grips to turn the bleeder valve. Bad idea, the metal used for the bleeder valves is cheap **** so its completely shaved down so not even an 8mm wrench could turn it.

Does anybody know where I could find replacement bleeder valves for the rears drums on a 2.2?

Umm get new wheel cylinders. #1 the metal is not cheap it's in all likelihood aluminum and is not made for cranking on them with a pair of vice grips. #2 why didn't you just drive to KMart and buy a $3 8mm wrench. #3 Why were you bleeding your brakes? If you've never had a caliper or wheel cylinder or master cylinder off the car they should never need to be bled unless you have a leak somewhere or you're flushing the system.

Bleeding your breaks just to bleed them is a just retarded and some people have nothing better to do than tinker with **** and **** it up...

I flushed my system.

Why would I need to get new wheel cylinders when all I need is a new bleeder valve?

You may have a hard time getting them out. You just said a wrench couldn't turn them. Not to mention I"m not entirely certain you can just buy the bleeders I've never stripped one. I've seen them break off because they got frozen on and then you definitely need new wheel cylinders or calipers

Umm hello wheel cylinders are what actuate the brakes inside the drums....

The drums are the big ass metal things the brake shoes push outwards against to stop your car

PS I mentioned calipers above because I was talking about the bleeder valves freezing in general. I wasn't referring to your particular car in that case..

My bad.

So why would I have to replace the wheel cylinders then?

As I said if you couldn't get the bleeder valves out or you can't find new bleeder valves. The way you phrased the original post made it sound like they were stuck in there.

Cool thanks.

I wasn't expecting them to get stripped like that, otherwise I would have went and bought an 8mm wrench.
