Ride Quality

Evening guys. I know this has been covered already, but I am currently running OTTP lowering springs on my SS, but I think I want to switch to coilovers because I just want the car lower. Lowering spring's ride also sucks, way to bouncy, and I'm sure ride quality isn't going to get better with coils, but what do you guys personally recommend? I'm not gonna cheapen out, so I want some honest advice from guys that have them. I've had my SS for about 3 years, and I just can't stand the ride height lol. I was thinking BC racing coilovers? Again, I want a decent ride but low stance. Thoughts?

Best handling and ride quality is achieved with YYZ springs. Not the lowest, but the only progressive springs available on the market for our cars. And that lifetime Powell warranty.

for the regular ones you will prob max them out and end up not thinking they are low enough.

Ok, some I’m gonna go with the BC, extreme low coils. Since I’ve never used Coilovers before, do I need to buy or do anything else? I need rack spacers correct? Also, (I’m on stock tires) will I have a problem with rubbing do you think?

I would buy rack spacers. Depending how low you go you may need rotated trans mounts.

ok cool thanks. I already have OTTP front and rear trans mounts. Don’t those do almost the same thing?

also, will the extreme lows be too low? Will they cause me to scrape and bottom out over every bump? Lol

If you live/commute in areas where road quality is poor, I would suggest not going more than 2" drop. Yes your rotated trans mounts are helpful for the alignment, but get a rack spacer anyways. It's extra peace of mind for what, $20?

you can always raise them but you can't lower them any more once you max them out

I have stock tire and wheel size, and by lowering will this cause me to rub when I turn my wheels?
