I'd like to know for sure if your problem was a "FLUKE" or if it was from lowering the car... I was planning on dropping my 08, but this is a big concern for me. I've been down this road before. I know for sure that lowering the car changes the axle geometery. I've driven lowered Grand Prixs for the last 6 years, a 97GTP & 04CompG and both of these cars had vibration and ripped boot problems after lowering them. There was a fix for those cars, we just put spacer/shims under the motor mounts to raise the engine/transmission close to it's original position.
