Thumbs down Rusting Coils. Help!

Well it seems like every time I go under my car I find something new wrong with it. This time I noticed that my SSC springs from cobalt-addiction are rusting. My father said it would take years for a chunk of steel that thick to rust through but I can't help but worry. Should I contact them? I already emailed Superior Sport Chassis and they said that I have to take it up with cobalt-addiction. or is this expected.

i say try to jack up your car and rub it down with some steel wool or something coarse and get all the rust off and then get some calliper paint or some kind of stronger rust protectant paint and go over it. should be ok for a while

Clean it off and spray with bedliner.

Or, suck it up and drive it

f that get some new springs, I would be pissed if that happened. Don't settle for some rusted springs when you dont have to. I'm sure CA will take care of you

Bedliner is the best choice. We spray most repaired areas under cars with bedliner up here. Make sure you clean it good before spraying though.

wrong...cmon maven tell him to do it the right way not the "settle for" way...

whoa whoa whoa...you need to fix it...by steel wooling it and then bedliner....a certain company makes springs for scions that are not necessarily cheap (like 170) and they rust through and break....the owners thought it was surface rust and just sucked it up....but then they back there car up here a pop pull back forward and wahla rusted coils laying in the driveway....all happened in around 20k ~ 1 yr...
