Torx? No, everything is metric hex. I would recommend torquing your bolts to spec on these as well!!!

Given the name of this thread... it might be a good thread to compare different cross drilled and slotted rotors. Has anyone purchased a set that kick @ss rotors that don't warp after heavy 80+mph braking? I know the stock rotors seemed to brake incredibly well with little to no warping at all.

Just curious.
well I am installing GMPP Drilled and slotted today so I will let you know.

Most pads can't be reversed because the squeeler is on the inside pad on these cars (if I recall correctly) and won't fit on the outside.

Where did you buy the rotors and pad from? I know that it is too early but how bad is the dust that comes off of them?

Rotors bought from Crateenginedepot.com, pads are from Monro brakes... they are lifetime warranty ceramics... 50k miles and replaced for free. Don't know about dust yet.

Dealer still tried to freak on me. I decided to install on my own. One side had the retainers on it and it took a few minutes to get those off. other side had none... took no more than 5-10 minutes once the wheel was off. There are some pics in my gallery, but none on the car yet. If I get a chance today at work ill run out and take some.

they sure do...my cousin had them for about 6-7 months and took them off because of it. Looked like ass...I talked to 3 dealerships and they said they are not coated.

Main reason why i didn't go with them...

the hub area will rust on junk rotors. i dunno about the gmpp rotors cause mine are not them. i got mine from an ebay store called race concepts:Linkage to the store. they are silver zinc coated and they will not and haven't. it rained for 2 days and car has been washed twice. The only area that rusts it the area where the brake pads touch the rotor and remove the coating (hope you knew that, lolz). and as for the brake dust. Well my polished lips should be black right now but they are perfect. redstuff FTMFW!!!!!!!!!!!!

no...they rust because the aren't coated and aren't the best rotors...The stock ones rusted quick as ****. The actual rotor doesn't rust, it's the hub and everything around the rotor.
