slotted and drilled
I have troubles with this too after hard braking... the $260 package I got off ebay wasn't the greatest but they sure as hell stop.... and sound cool doing it. The cross drills make my brakes sound like crickets when I get on them.
Just drive around for awhile trying not to brake too hard for any reason. Even on the highway, apply pressure smoothly and after a bit of driving like that, they should get better. If they are REAL bad... then replacement is an order.
Given the name of this thread... it might be a good thread to compare different cross drilled and slotted rotors. Has anyone purchased a set that kick @ss rotors that don't warp after heavy 80+mph braking? I know the stock rotors seemed to brake incredibly well with little to no warping at all.
Just curious.

Most pads can't be reversed because the squeeler is on the inside pad on these cars (if I recall correctly) and won't fit on the outside.
I just wanted to ask because i wanted to have the tools on hand to do the job. As soon as i get my new rotors I can install the damn things. I need them so badly. I have the pads but i dont want to use the pads with out the rotors.
Still looking?

the hub area will rust on junk rotors. i dunno about the gmpp rotors cause mine are not them. i got mine from an ebay store called race concepts:Linkage to the store. they are silver zinc coated and they will not and haven't. it rained for 2 days and car has been washed twice. The only area that rusts it the area where the brake pads touch the rotor and remove the coating (hope you knew that, lolz). and as for the brake dust. Well my polished lips should be black right now but they are perfect. redstuff FTMFW!!!!!!!!!!!!
