depends on the place you take it to. i know ours is like $150 for the alignment and we do lowered cars all the time. and anytime you do any suspension modifications you should always get an alignment. which is why you should do all of your suspension mods at the same time and not within a week of each other as that can get quite expensive.

1. expect to replace struts soon if you drive your car like a madman over bumps and railroad tracks

2. during the install, make sure the front tabs on the struts are facing in toward the engine

3. you'll love the new look and feel of them

4. expect about a 6 hr install. thats how long it took me and im not exactly stupid...

about a 1/2 inch or so. but that 1/2 inch makes a big difference.

i can do it in about 2 hours with handtools. with air tools, would probably be about an hour, most likely less though. shouldn't take anywhere near 6 hours though.

many members are fine with the stock shocks. you can buy brand new stockers for about 30/each or so, so even if you test out the new springs, and you blow a shock, you can get a new one cheap, and put the stock springs back on if you can't afford aftermarket shocks. springs retain their value pretty well, so you can always sell them afterwards if it doesn't work out for you.

I ran my sportlines for over a year without an alignment and had NO tire wear, i know it seems hard to believe but it's true. When i took them off only one rear shock had blown, the front looked fine, atleast no leaks anyhow. On a side note, i did do an alignment after the airbag install, way to risky, but so far no issues with that either.

You will see oil or grease around the body of the strut, and your car will ride different.

you'll feel the difference in ride quality. a more advanced way to check would be to take the strut off, and see if it's leaking. a good strut will be able to be pushed and pulled in and out, and be smooth. there should be some resistance, but the biggest thing is that the movement is smooth, not jerky. if there's zero resistance, that's a bad sign. but basically, you'll know if you blow a strut when you go over a bump in the road.

question, i purchased ss/sc springs off a local guy who said they were ss/sc springs and i put the back ones on and there isn't any difference in drop? also the tags tags ont he rear springs are purple and on the front they are white. I compared the fe5 spring part numbers from cratenginedepot.com to the ones on my springs and they dont match is there any way to confirm that they are ss/sc springs?

forget it gonan go ss/sc struts with prokit or koni with sport kit..
