spring, strut, and coilover Q's for TC
but i installed 2 sets of springs in the past 2 month. just sunday i did a set of sportlines. took me about an hour. spring compressors is a must, but there technically free so i dont see why not get them anyways. rent for $50, return, get ur $50 back.
air tools is also awsome. jack up front of car, take wheel off, look at strut assembly, now if you wanna take this piece out you gotta look at what is holding it in. 3 bolts on the bottom. remove them. then unclip ABS, wire harness attached to strut, cant miss it. Then go on top and look what else is holding it, 3 strut tower bolts. remove them, it falls right out. Take impact gun with right socket and loosen the nut holding top of strut assembly in. mine came right out. now the spring is free. take spring out, put now one in, line it up in the groove on the bottom like its meant to go, cant miss it, then compress it so you can tighten the nut back on top. ta-da, done with the front now do again on the other side. if u need help give me a buzz casey u got my #
i can feel that sportlines hindered performance a bit. I can etll when i take corners that it doesnt feel as solid as stock. Its not crazy though. if it started at a 10 its now a 9. nothing that a beter set of tires wont compensate for and return to that stock feeling, But then again with the proper springs and a better set of tires youd be better than stock and not at stock like i will be. But thats something i can live with
thats not too bad. i never thought about the SC springs hindering performance. so yea i guess i am gonna wait for them to come out. wonder if the TC spacific kit (pro and sportline) will be the same drop heights...
