Springs... shouldn't they have settled?

I put the Eibach Pro-Kit on last friday. 600 miles on them and one week and i have had no drop on the front and 3/4 of an inch on the back.

Should they have settled more by now? How long have you guys waited for full drops?

they should have settled by now. something isn't right. who did you get them from? were they new or used? 3/4" back and zero front sounds like ss/sc springs.

You got the "PRO-KIT" It dosent lower your car. You were probably thinking about the "SPORTLINES". They dropp the front and back aroung 2 inches.

They were new and legit Eibach.. Got them in a sealed box from an ebay store. Checked to make sure they weren't counterfit

The Pro-Kit promises 0" in the front and 1/2" in the rear on the FE-3 and FE-5 suspensions. Are you and SS or an LS/LT?

Sorry - your reply posted just as my question . Kinda stupid question.. but is your car loaded down with crap, i.e., is your trunk full?

Everything I have read including Eibach's site, this site, and cobalt addiction all say 1.6 in the front and 1.8 in the back.

Has anybody else put the Pro-Kit on their car.

No my trunk is not full. But it will be this weekend.

i havent heard from him what the total drop was but here's a link to pics of his car before and after the install https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/south-central-60/car-lowered-now-eibach-prokit-ss-high-rise-spoiler-70322/
there's definitely more drop than what you're describing and these pics were taken the day or the day after the springs went on

The sportlines also say 1.7 in the front and 2.3 in the back but that is not the correct drop for the cobalt. If you look at the instructions that came with your srpings it should tell you the exact drop for your model. Pro kit will not yeild a drastic drop. Should be noticable though.

look for some pics on here of others with the same springs and compare. If you dont think they are similar in the drop just contact your supplier, complain, and upgrade to some sportlines haha

Well I am in the process of talking with the store I bought them from. Thank god it is a company with an Ebay store and not just some guy selling on ebay. We are working out specifics and are going to get in touch with Eibach to see if I can get them replaced. According to every website, including Eibach, the base model should show a drop of 1.6 in the front and 1.8 in the rear. I am more closely resembling the SS drop of 0 in the front and .5 in the rear (ive actually dropped about .75 in the rear). I even checked on the odd chance that someone goofed and I did not have stock SS springs (you never know... weirder things have happened)

I'll keep you guys updated...

Settling doesn't even matter really. You should've noticed a significant difference once you set the car back down. 1.6" doesn't sound like a lot, but if you didn't notice a huge difference the minute that car set down, you have a problem. You didn't happen to have put ss/sc springs on your car before the drop did you? lol. I highly doubt it, right? Also, did you compare the coils when they were out of the car. You should see a noticeble height difference versus the stock coil.

Just because they're shorter uncompressed doesn't mean they will be shorter with the weight of the car on them. Since they are stiffer they will compress less with the car just sitting there than the softer stockers. My car was noticably lower but it's nowhere near slammed.

I've never heard reports of anyone with an LS/LT or SS/SC having any significant drop from the pro kit. I don't think there is anything wrong with the springs you purchased.

Also I've never noticed my car "settle"...its got the same gap as it did the first time they went on. I don't understand why people say springs should settle...I waited for mine to do so as well and it didn't happen.
